Yep, that pretty much sums it up for me right now. I guess I’d forgotten just HOW GOOD babies smell. Don’t get me wrong, E still smells pretty awesome (95% of the time) but there’s something mind-blowingly intoxicating about really little people. Jim always said that E smelt ‘lemony’ when she was brand new and he was constantly sniffing the top of her head.
Our boy smells different but just as amazing. He’s a windy one so I spend a lot of time cuddling him upright with his head on my shoulder. Perfect position for baby nuzzling and sniffing! I’ll try to remember how wonderful he smelt when he’s a hormonal sweaty teenager with stinky feet.
